There was no surprise when 8th ranked OrangeAcademy (6-10) was crushed on the road by third ranked Coburg (10-5) 93-70 on Sunday. Coburg dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to OrangeAcademy's 26 and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Coburg forced 19 OrangeAcademy turnovers. Nigerian-American forward Princeton Onwas (198-93, college: SJSU) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. French Tidjane Keita (208-96) chipped in 24 points and 4 assists. Coburg's coach Ulf Schabacker felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Forward Christoph Philipps (203-98) produced 18 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized American point guard Zachary Ensminger (197-1) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Coburg have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position in South with 10-5 record having five points less than leader Elchingen. Loser OrangeAcademy keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. Coburg will face league's leader Elchingen on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. OrangeAcademy will play against Giessen 46ers 2 (#4) and hope to win that game.
