Regular Season Round 15: Tornado KM - Sostines 62-63

The most interesting game of round 15 in the U18 League was only one-point a home defeat of 5th ranked Tornado KM (7-7) to fourth ranked Sostines (8-6) 63-62 in the game for the fourth place. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 63-62. It was a great evening for guard Julius Vaitkus (190-2) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 assists. Edvin Volodkovic (-2) helped adding 3 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Laurynas Virbalas (179-2) with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Domantas Butkys (195-2) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Sostines have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 8-6 record. Tornado KM at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Sostines are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Pasvalio (#12) in Pasvalys in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tornado KM will play on the road against Panevezio (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
