The game in Gyumri was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked FIMA Basketball (3-8) played at the court of 6th ranked Gyumri (2-13). FIMA Basketball managed to secure a 6-point victory 97-91 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 55-47 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. FIMA Basketball outrebounded Gyumri 56-45 including 41 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Gyumri's players. The winners were led by Canadian guard Ben Miller (188, college: Acadia) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 18 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals and American point guard Keron Billinger (183-92, college: Co.Georgia) supported him with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Even a double-double of 28 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists by American point guard Julian Winton (183-96, college: Tabor) did not help to save the game for Gyumri. His fellow American import guard Atencio Martin (196-95, college: S.Maine CC) added 28 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. FIMA Basketball maintains fifth position with 3-8 record. Gyumri lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. FIMA Basketball will meet at home higher ranked Erebuni (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Gyumri will have a break next round.
