Regular Season Round 9: Tuebingen YT - Crailsheim 96-70

There was a change at the NBBL leadership position after last games. Round 9 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Crailsheim (5-3). They were crushed by second ranked Young Tigers (6-3) 96-70 on Wednesday night. It was a key game for the top position in B South-East. Young Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Crailsheim's 24. Young Tigers forced 20 Crailsheim turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Matti Sorgius (196-1) stepped up and scored 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners and point guard Daniel Zacek (180-1) chipped in 26 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Jannis Hahn (190-1) with 20 points and Serbian point guard Aleksa Kovacevic (190-2) scored 14 points. Five Young Tigers and four Crailsheim players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Young Tigers keep a position of B South-East leader. Crailsheim at the other side dropped to the third place with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Ludwigsburg BBA. Crailsheim will play next round against Urspring trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Young Tigers will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked ratiopharm Ulm at home.
