There was no surprise in Ankara where 10th ranked Mersin Uni (7-12) was crushed by third ranked Nesibe (13-4) 75-53. Nesibe dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Mersin Uni's 20. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Mersin Uni's players. Forward Harika Eldas (182-90, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) notched 11 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the effort and forward Asli Sevinc (178-79) supported her with 10 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Nesibe players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 15 points and 17 rebounds by American forward Dekeiya Cohen (188-96, college: Baylor, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Mersin Uni. Point guard Cisem Incel (172-94) added 9 points and 5 assists. Mersin Uni's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Nesibe have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 13-4 record having just three points less than leader Emlak Konut. Mersin Uni at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with 12 games lost. Nesibe's next round opponent will be Bursa BSB (#9) on the road where they are favorite. Mersin Uni will play against Fenerbahce G. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
