Very predictable result when seventh ranked Merkezefendi (10-6) won against at home 15th ranked Samsun (3-13) 73-63 on Friday. They outrebounded Samsun 40-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for Ukrainian Olexandr Mishula (192-92) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Gokhan Yazicioglu (200-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Merkezefendi's coach Sahin Atesdagli allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. North Macedonian center Predrag Samardziski (215-86, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Suat-Cem Usal (-93, agency: BeoBasket) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for Samsun. Merkezefendi have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Bandirma BK. Samsun at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifteenth position with 13 games lost. Merkezefendi will face Duzce Belediye (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Samsun will play against Bornova Bld and hope to win that game.
