Regular Season Round 18: Wolfpack - Naestved 68-87

Leading Wolfpack (8-9) recorded its ninth loss in Herlev. Hosts were rolled over by fifth ranked Naestved (10-9) 87-68. The game was mostly controlled by Naestved. Wolfpack was better in fourth quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Naestved players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Canadian-Jamaican point guard Jahmal Jones (183-91, college: Ryerson) notched 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Dominican-Austrian swingman Carlos Mateo (198-92) supported him with 21 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Naestved players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 5 rebounds by Mile Nedic (199-94, college: Lindenwood-Bellev.) did not help to save the game for Wolfpack. American guard Javion Blake (190, college: Washburn, agency: Haylett Sports) added 17 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naestved maintains fifth position with 10-9 record. Wolfpack at the other side still keeps top place with nine games lost. Naestved will play against higher ranked Svendborg (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Wolfpack will play against EBAA and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
