They outrebounded Speyer 35-24 including a 26-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. Fraport Skyliners II looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Nigel Pruitt (201-94, college: Kennesaw St.) saved the victory by scoring 23 points and 4 assists. Center Aaron Kayser (205-99) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Pruitt is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Guard Dmitrj Kreis (187-88) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals and American guard DJ Woodmore (190-92, college: Va.Wesleyan) added 20 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Speyer. Five Speyer players scored in double figures. Fraport Skyliners II moved-up to eighth place in South, which they share with OrangeAcademy and Bayern 2. Newly promoted Speyer dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. Fraport Skyliners II will face higher ranked Giessen 46ers 2 (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
