Rather expected game when 11th ranked Iserlohn (5-12) lost at home to eighth ranked Titans (9-8) 93-76 on Saturday. Titans forced 28 Iserlohn turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Iserlohn was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Daniel Kirchner (187-97) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 4 assists. Swingman Sebastian Heck (200-95, agency: Blacktop Management) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Titans players scored in double figures. Titans' coach Fabian Strauss allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Bosnian-Croatian power forward Jozo Brkic (211-86, agency: PEPI SPORT) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized American Chris Frazier (182-90, college: Dubuque) added 19 points, 7 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Iserlohn. The victory was the third consecutive win for Titans. They moved-up to sixth place in North, which they share with Rist Wedel and Bochum. Iserlohn lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with 12 games lost. Titans will face league's second-placed SG Schwelmer Baskets at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Iserlohn will play against Muenster (#4) and hope to win that game.
