Twelfth-ranked Alexandria (1-10) gave a tough game to Targu Mures (7-2) on Saturday. Targu Mures managed to secure only two-point victory 61-59. However their fans expected much easier game. Alexandria trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 21-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 59-61 at the end of the game. Targu Mures forced 21 Alexandria turnovers. American guard Brittney Dunbar (173-93, college: Weber St.) had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Cristina Badi (178-93) chipped in 11 points and 6 assists during the contest.
