An interesting game took place in Istanbul where 4th placed Galatasaray (12-5) was upset on the court of thirteenth ranked Acibadem (6-11) 92-71 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Galatasaray. Acibadem forced 20 Galatasaray turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Trae Golden (189-91, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Network Sports International) who scored 27 points and 7 assists. Australian-South Sudanese center Mangok Mathiang (208-92, college: Louisville) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds. Five Acibadem players scored in double figures. American forward Alex Poythress (203-93, college: Kentucky) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds and Greek-American center Zach Auguste (208-93, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) added 21 points respectively for the guests. Acibadem moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Afyon. Loser Galatasaray keeps the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Tofas. Acibadem will meet Afyon Bld (#12) in the next round. Galatasaray's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Besiktas.
