Another exciting game was played in Angra between eighth ranked Lusitania and 4th placed Oliveirense where host Lusitania (7-10) won against Oliveirense (11-6) 80-69. American forward DJ Foreman (203-94, college: St.Louis, agency: Players Group) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 8 rebounds. Serbian guard Filip Simic (185-90) contributed with 22 points and 8 assists for the winners. Four Lusitania players scored in double figures. American power forward John Fields (205-88, college: Tennessee) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and American-Haitian forward Marc-Eddy Norelia (203-93, college: FGCU, agency: Duran International) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Oliveirense. Lusitania moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Barreirense and Esgueira. Defending champion Oliveirense keeps the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Vitoria SC. Lusitania will play against higher ranked FC Porto (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Oliveirense will play against Esgueira / Oli and hopes to get back on the winning track.
