Regular Season Round 16: Fethiye - Ankara B. 99-91

TBL top team - Fethiye (13-3) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixteenth ranked Ankara B. (2-14) 99-91. They outrebounded Ankara B. 40-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. Fethiye players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of American point guard Erick Neal (178-95, college: UT Arlington) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 assists and center Sercan Ergin (197-83) who added 11 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Neal is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American guard Desi Washington (188-92, college: St.Peter's) responded with 31 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Ali Kavaklioglu (186-86) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fethiye have an impressive five-game winning streak. Newly promoted Fethiye maintains first position with 13-3 record. Ankara B. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. Fethiye will play against league's second-placed Socar Petkim on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ankara B. will play against Yalova Bld (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
