Regular Season Round 22: Trier - Kirchheim 96-68
Date: January 25, 2020
The game between sixth ranked Gladiators (12-9) and 9th ranked Kirchheim Knights (10-11) in Trier on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Gladiators outscored guests from Kirchheim 96-68. Gladiators had a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Jordan Geist (188-97, college: Missouri, agency: 3Eye) notched 26 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and power forward Till Gloger (204-93, college: Maine) supported him with 23 points. Even 16 points by American point guard Jalan McCloud (180-95, college: ETSU) did not help to save the game for Kirchheim Knights. His fellow American import forward Mitchell Hahn (203-95, college: Omaha) added 12 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gladiators moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Nuernberg. Loser Kirchheim Knights keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Tuebingen. Gladiators will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kirchheim Knights will play against BV Villingen-Schwenningen (#13) and hope to secure a win.
