Tenth ranked KOS (6-14) crushed at home 11th ranked Raiders Tirol (5-15) by 18 points 91-73, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-73. KOS shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Raiders Tirol's players. Slovenian guard Martin Bajc (192-94) fired 22 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Slovenian forward Lovro Fizuleto (200-92) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Vincentian-Trinidad and Tobago power forward John Gardiner (206-83, college: SHSU) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and Senegalese center Mansata Cisse (207-95) added 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KOS moved-up to ninth place, which they share with BBU Salzburg. Newly promoted Raiders Tirol keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost. KOS will meet league's second-placed Blackbirds in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Raiders Tirol will play against Worthersee Piraten (#6) in Klagenfurt and hope to secure a win.
