An interesting game took place in Bayreuth where 4th placed EWE Baskets (10-6) were upset on the court of twelfth ranked BBC Bayreuth (7-9) 86-75. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of EWE Baskets. American forward Reid Travis (203-95, college: Kentucky) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import guard James Woodard (191-94, college: Tulsa) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Austrian-Slovenian center Rasid Mahalbasic (211-90, agency: BeoBasket) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international guard Robin Amaize (188-94) added 17 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for EWE Baskets. BBC Bayreuth moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Goettingen. EWE Baskets at the other side keep the fourth position with six games lost. BBC Bayreuth's next round opponent will be Giessen 46ers (#13) on the road. EWE Baskets will play against ALBA Berlin (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
