Regular Season Round 15: Hannover - Herner 66-68

The most exciting game of round 15 in the DBBL took place in Hannover. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th placed Hannover (9-6) to third ranked Herner TC (10-4) 68-66 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was Russian forward Adelina Abaiburova (185-95, agency: LBM Management) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds. Serbian center Ivana Brajkovic (195-93) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Belarusian guard Alexandra Tarasava (172-88) who recorded 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and the former international Birte Thimm (180-87) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Hannover's coach Tatiana Gallova rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains third place with 10-4 record having seven points less than leader Keltern. Hannover at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Herner TC are looking forward to face BasCats Heidelberg (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hannover will play against XCYDE Angels Noerdlingen (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
