Regular Season Round 19: Deutsch-Wagram - Mustangs 73-77

Very predictable result when fourth ranked Mustangs (12-8) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Deutsch-Wagram (2-18) 77-73 on Sunday. Deutsch-Wagram was trailing by 12 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 21-16 charge of Mustangs, which allowed them to win the game. Czech swingman Michal Jedovnicky (194-95) fired 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Czech center Ivo Prachar (210-82) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Mustangs players scored in double figures. Point guard Simon Marek (180-1) produced 25 points and 4 assists and Elias Wlasak (190-0) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Despite that victory Mustangs went down to fifth position due to points difference. Deutsch-Wagram lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 18 lost games. Mustangs will meet at home higher ranked Furstenfeld Panthers (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Deutsch-Wagram will play against Nord Dragonz (#7) in Eisenstadt and hope to secure a win.
