Very important is a road loss of third ranked Fenerbahce (13-4) against eleventh ranked Gaziantep (7-10) on Sunday night. Visiting Fenerbahce was defeated by Gaziantep in Gaziantep 81-70. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Fenerbahce. Gaziantep players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Serbian power forward Stevan Jelovac (208-89, agency: BeoBasket) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Can-Ugur Ogut (178-92) accounted for 13 points and 6 assists. Gaziantep's coach Nenad Markovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international guard Bobby Dixon (178-83, college: Troy, agency: BeoBasket) came up with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and French power forward Joffrey Lauvergne (210-91, agency: BeoBasket) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Fenerbahce in the defeat. Five Gaziantep and four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. Gaziantep moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Bursaspor. Fenerbahce at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. Gaziantep will play against higher ranked Tofas (#4) in Bursa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fenerbahce will play at home against Turk Telekom and hopes to get back on the winning track.
