Regular Season Round 16: Panevezio - Tornado KM 111-68

The game with biggest result difference took place in Panevezio. Local Panevezio (11-2) outscored 5th ranked Tornado KM (7-8) 111-68. The game without a history. Panevezio led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Tornado KM to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Panevezio dominated down low during the game scoring 86 of its points in the paint compared to Tornado KM's 36. Panevezio forced 20 Tornado KM turnovers and outrebounded them 46-33 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Panevezio's coach Zydrunas Valuckis felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Kostas Cepavicius (194-2) replied with 16 points and 9 rebounds and guard Kristupas Bartuska (190-2) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Tornado KM. Panevezio maintains third position with 11-2 record having six points less than leader V.Knasiaus KM. Tornado KM at the other side keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. Panevezio will play against Sostines (#4) in Vilniaus in the next round. Tornado KM's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kaunas Zalgiris U18.
