Fifth ranked FIMA Basketball won a double-overtime thriller against one of their biggest challengers Yerevan by six points 114-108 on Friday night. The game took place in . But the guests were better at the end. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Yerevan. Yerevan was trailing by 9 points at halftime but managed to get 9-point lead after three quarters before a 31-22 charge of FIMA Basketball, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in double-overtime eventually winning that period 8-11. FIMA Basketball dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Yerevan's 48. FIMA Basketball forced 20 Yerevan turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Yerevan was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Canadian guard Ben Miller (188, college: Acadia) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Leonid Kulakovskiy chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds. American-Jordanian guard Rasheim Wright (192-81, college: District of Col.) produced a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Russian Fominykh Vyacheslav added 20 points and 21 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for the hosts. Five FIMA Basketball and four Yerevan players scored in double figures. FIMA Basketball have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Yerevan keeps the third position with seven games lost.
