Regular Season Round 16: Neuss - Panthers Osn. 68-64

Very expected game when 9th ranked Panthers Osn. (4-9) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked TG Neuss (8-5) 68-64 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Britta Worms (188-88) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Franziska Worthmann (178-86, college: RMU) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side point guard Annemarie Potratz (163-97) responded with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Katrin Sokoll-Potratz (176-71) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. TG Neuss moved-up to third place in North, which they share with Opladen. Newly promoted Panthers Osn. keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. TG Neuss will face Krofdorf (#8) in Giessen in the next round where they are favorite. Panthers Osn. will play at home against the league's second-placed Braunschweig and hope to win that game.
