Regular Season Round 17: LTH Castings - Medvode 55-70

There was a minor upset in Skofja Loka where 8th ranked LTH Castings (6-11) were defeated by tenth ranked Medvode (5-11) 70-55. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Medvode's pressure prevailed and they won that period 20-11 extending their advantage to 15 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to LTH Castings' 30. They outrebounded LTH Castings 41-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. Forward Janez Korosec (201-95) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and forward Ziga Zepic (194-98) accounted for 8 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Luka Grum (195-92) came up with 18 points and forward Jure Ribnikar (196-94) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for LTH Castings in the defeat. LTH Castings' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Medvode moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Postojna. LTH Castings at the other side keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Medvode will play against Portoroz (#11) at home in the next round. LTH Castings will play against Postojna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
