Regular Season Round 18: Langenhagen - Aschersleben 73-80

Date: February 1, 2020
Rather expected game when 5th ranked Langenhagen (9-6) lost at home to third ranked Aschersleben (12-4) 80-73 on Saturday. Aschersleben dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Langenhagen's 34. Aschersleben forced 19 Langenhagen turnovers. It was a good game for Lithuanian swingman Lukas Kazlauskas (188-92) who led his team to a victory with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Daniel Roach (201-97, college: Tuskegee) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Roach is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Bulgarian swingman Angel Peychinov (201-95, agency: Players Group) replied with 25 points and American point guard Devon Moore (193-89, college: JMU) added 19 points and 4 assists in the effort for Langenhagen. Langenhagen's coach Benjamin Travnizek rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Aschersleben maintains third position in North with 12-4 record having six points less than leader Ansbach, which they share with Goetting.ASC. Loser Langenhagen keeps the fifth place with six games lost. Aschersleben will face league's second-placed Wolmirstedt on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Langenhagen will play against Neustadt TSV and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
