No shocking result in a game when second ranked Blackbirds (15-5) beat 10th ranked KOS (6-14) in Jennersdorf 81-75. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 20-13 run, which allowed them to win the game. KOS was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Christoph Astl (186-88) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 8 rebounds and guard Manuel Jandrasits (184-87) who added 20 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Blackbirds' coach Daniel Muellner allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Slovenian forward Lovro Fizuleto (200-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and forward Marin Sliskovic (200-95) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four KOS players scored in double figures. Blackbirds maintains second position with 15-5 record behind leader Rocks. KOS at the other side dropped to the ninth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with BBU Salzburg. Blackbirds will play against Flames (#7) in Vienna in the next round where they are favorite. KOS will play at home against Worthersee Piraten and hopes to get back on the winning track.
