There was no surprise in Bucurest where Agronomia (6-5) was defeated by Targu Secuiesc (8-0) 53-40. Agronomia was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 32-16 second half run of Targu Secuiesc. They held Agronomia to an opponent 20.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 32.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Targu Secuiesc forced 19 Agronomia turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Kayla Mobley (180-90, college: Clayton St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 21 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Jade Vega (165-97, college: CS Fullerton) accounted for 7 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Center Mihaela Chelariu (186-92) came up with 8 points and 13 rebounds and American center Jordan Hawkins (188-97, college: Assumption) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Agronomia in the defeat. Agronomia's coach Milan Sokic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Targu Secuiesc's next round opponent will be Targu Mures (#8) at home. Agronomia will play against Phoenix Constanta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
