No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Nuernberg (13-9) beat on the road 11th ranked Phoenix Hagen (9-12) 100-87 on Saturday. Nuernberg made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. Wilson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. American guard Jonathan Octeus (193-91, college: Purdue) answered with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Joel-Sadu Aminu (193-97, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) added 16 points in the effort for Phoenix Hagen. Five Nuernberg and four Phoenix Hagen players scored in double figures. Phoenix Hagen's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nuernberg moved-up to fourth place. Loser Phoenix Hagen dropped to the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Nuernberg will face bottom-ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (#17) in Allmendingen in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Phoenix Hagen will play on the road against Bayer Giants (#6) in Leverkusen and hope to win that game.
