Regular Season Round 20: Nord Dragonz - Deutsch-Wagram 89-73

Very expected game when 12th ranked Deutsch-Wagram (2-18) lost to eighth ranked Nord Dragonz (9-10) in Eisenstadt 73-89. The game was mostly controlled by Nord Dragonz. Deutsch-Wagram was better in fourth quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Deutsch-Wagram 38-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Nord Dragonz players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Deutsch-Wagram's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Bosnian-Slovenian center Fuad Memcic (209-82, agency: Promotex) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds and Croatian forward Filip Mileta (197-96, agency: The Champions Agency) who added 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Nord Dragonz's coach Dusan Kozlica used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Elias Wlasak (190-0) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Lukas Hofer (182-92) scored 21 points. Newly promoted Nord Dragonz maintains eighth position with 9-10 record. Deutsch-Wagram lost third consecutive game. Deutsch-Wagram at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay dead last with 18 lost games. Nord Dragonz will play against higher ranked Furstenfeld Panthers (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Deutsch-Wagram will play against Lions (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
