Second Stage Round 3: TED Ankara - Turk Telekom 73-59

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Ankara: TED Ankara (#6) and Turk Telekom (#8). TED Ankara (7-6) won against visiting Turk Telekom (5-8) 73-59. They outrebounded Turk Telekom 46-34 including 31 on the defensive glass. TED Ankara looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for forward Erim Ozdemir (202-2) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Eyup Oncu (203-2) helped adding 22 points and 12 rebounds. The best for the losing side was point guard Batuhan Acar (-2) with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Yigit Ozkan (191-1) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TED Ankara are looking forward to face Fenerbahce in Istanbul in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Turk Telekom will play at home against Besiktas (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
