Regular Season Round 18: Kronberg - Ulm BBU 01 94-95

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Ulm BBU 01 (9-8) edged on the road 14th ranked Kronberg (5-13) 95-94 on Saturday. Ulm BBU 01 looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Kronberg was plagued by 36 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Moritz Krimmer (202-0, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) who saved his team from a defeat with 20 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Naturalized American point guard Zachary Ensminger (197-1) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Four Ulm BBU 01 players scored in double figures. Guard Yannick Schicktanz (186-90) replied with 33 points (!!!) and 5 assists and American point guard Kewan Beebe (183-93, college: Geneseo St.) added 24 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Kronberg. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Ulm BBU 01 have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in South-West. Loser Kronberg keeps the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Ulm BBU 01 will face league's second-placed Koblenz at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Kronberg will play against Crailsheim 2 (#7) and hope to win that game.
