Regular Season Round 19: Emlak Konut - Edremit 78-74

TKBL top team - Emlak Konut (16-3) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Edremit (10-8) 78-74. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Edremit. Emlak Konut dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Edremit's 34. Emlak Konut forced 24 Edremit turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a great evening for Senegalese power forward Aminata Fall (193-91, college: S.Nazarene, agency: Two Points) who led her team to a victory scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Nihal Gungor (-90) helped adding 19 points and 5 assists. Emlak Konut's coach Vedat Saglik allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American Jessica Jackson (192-95, college: Arkansas) responded with 31 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Revaziye Donmez (-88) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. Newly promoted Emlak Konut maintains first place with 16-3 record. Edremit at the other side dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Emlak Konut will play against Sakarya Y. (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Edremit will play against Bayrakli (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
