Regular Season Round 18: Speyer - Elchingen 53-80

ProB top team - Elchingen (16-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Speyer (8-9) 80-53. They outrebounded Speyer 49-26 including a 40-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Croatian Karlo Miksic (192-97) scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Croatian forward Luka Kamber (203-94, college: Nicholls St.) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Dominican-Spanish power forward Michel Acosta (201-92) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and forward Tim Schwartz (197-87) scored 16 points. Speyer's coach Carl Mbassa gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Elchingen have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position in South with 16-2 record. Newly promoted Speyer keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Elchingen will face OrangeAcademy (#9) in Ulm in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Speyer will play on the road against the league's second-placed Wuerzburg and hope to win that game.
