Regular Season Round 18: Terceira - Ovarense 79-111

Bottom-ranked Terceira is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 18th consecutive match to twelfth ranked Ovarense (6-12) 111-79. Ovarense dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Terceira's 30. They outrebounded Terceira 45-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. Ovarense players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American forward Immanuel King (203-96, college: Texas St.) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import Chris Davenport (203-94, college: N.Florida) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. King is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Ovarense players scored in double figures. Ovarense's coach Nuno Manarte felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Canadian guard Theon Reefer (198) with 24 points and American forward Jalen McCallum (203-95, college: LaGrange) scored 8 points and 13 rebounds. Ovarense moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Illiabum. Terceira at the other side still closes the standings. Ovarense will play against higher ranked Galitos-Barreiro (#6) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Terceira will play against Maia Basket (#13) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
