The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Bonn/Rh.'s (4-6) road victory over bottom-ranked Trier YG (0-10) 79-55 on Sunday. Bonn/Rh. forced 25 Trier YG turnovers and outrebounded them 46-35 including 20 on the offensive glass. Robin Danes (196-1) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Timo Schneider (172-1) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Bonn/Rh.'s coach Philipp Stachula felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Markus Zock (205-2) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Christopher Blueggel (184-2) scored 14 points. Bonn/Rh. moved-up to fourth place in B South-West, which they share with Heidelberg. Newly promoted Trier YG still closes the standings with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
