Regular Season Round 10: Nuernberg - Muenchen FCB 44-112

There was no surprise in Nuernberg where bottom-ranked Falcons (0-10) were outplayed by second ranked FC Bayern (6-2) 112-44 on Sunday. FC Bayern dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Falcons' 24. FC Bayern forced 28 Falcons turnovers. Falcons were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Benjamin Schroeder (194-3) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Philipp Walz (201-1) chipped in 19 points during the contest. Four FC Bayern players scored in double figures. At the losing side Serbian point guard Luka Stefanovic (188-2) responded with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Emmanuel Ngan (189-1) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. FC Bayern have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position in A South with 6-2 record having six points less than leader Ludwigsburg BBA. Loser Falcons still closes the standings with ten games lost. FC Bayern will face Heroes (#7) in Bayreuth in the next round where they are favorite. Falcons will play at home against Basketball-Akademie and hope to get finally their first victory.
