The game in Focsani supposed to be also quite interesting. Pitesti (3-0) played at the court of Focsani (0-3). Pitesti did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 90-70 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Pitesti led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Focsani's 38. They outrebounded Focsani 44-24 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian-Bosnian swingman Nikola Gajic (195-91, college: SF Austin) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Montenegrin Goran Gajovic (199-88, agency: 011 Sports) accounted for 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Five Pitesti players scored in double figures. American forward Donovan Smith (206, college: Quinnipiac) came up with 23 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian swingman Djordje Simeunovic (201-96) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Focsani in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pitesti will meet at home Medias (#4) in the next round. Focsani will play against Galati and hopes to get finally their first victory.
