Second Stage Round 3: Silute - Telsiai 71-74

Third-ranked Silute (22-9) made lots of trouble for Telsiai (27-4) on Thursday. The visitors from Telsiu managed to secure only three-point victory 74-71. However their fans expected easier game. Telsiai made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Mindaugas Norkus (200-85) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Ignas Razutis (185-87) chipped in 8 points and 11 assists. Telsiai's coach Rytis Vaisvila used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Linas Lekavicius (186-84, college: American) who recorded 12 points and 8 assists and Paulius Poska (206-99) added 14 points respectively. Four Silute players scored in double figures. Telsiai are looking forward to face Delikatesas (#5) in Joniskis in the next round. Silute will play on the road against Suduva-Mantinga in Marijampole and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
