Second Stage Round 3: Jonava - Ezerunas 98-71

There was a minor upset when Ezerunas (12-18) was crushed on the road by Jonava (10-20) 98-71. Jonava players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for center Martynas Pacevicius (204-97) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. American forward Kahlil Thomas (203-94, college: Rider) accounted for 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Five Jonava players scored in double figures. Jonava's coach Nerijus Zabarauskas felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Rokas Jukonis (194-90) came up with 19 points and center Ignas Lukosius (202-93) added 8 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for Ezerunas in the defeat. Jonava's next round opponent will be Taurages (#15) on the road.
