Regular Season Round 19: Langen - Saarlouis/Dillingen 76-68

No shocking result in a game when third ranked TV Langen (11-7) beat at home 6th ranked Saarlouis/Dillingen (9-10) 76-68 on Saturday. TV Langen dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Saarlouis/Dillingen's 32. Quite impressive performance for American forward Christopher Edward (201, college: Concordia, OR) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Ruben Spoden (202-89) contributed with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. TV Langen's coach Koray Karaman used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American guard Ricky Easterling (189-83, college: Bridgewater) answered with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his fifteen free throws !!!) and Bulgarian Filip Kamenov (200-95) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Saarlouis/Dillingen. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for TV Langen. They maintain third place in South-West with 11-7 record having six points less than leader Ansbach. Loser Saarlouis/Dillingen dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. TV Langen will face Stuttgart (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Saarlouis/Dillingen will play against Idstein (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
