Regular Season Round 21: BBU Salzburg - Mustangs 73-63

An interesting game took place in Salzburg where higher ranked Mustangs (12-9) were upset on the court of ninth ranked BBU (7-14) 73-63 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by BBU. Mustangs managed to win fourth quarter 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Mustangs 38-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Spanish forward Guillermo Sanchez (200-91) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Slovenian forward Luka Milovac (192-94) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four BBU players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Czech guard Michal Semerad (190-89) who recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds and Czech swingman Michal Jedovnicky (194-95) added 17 points respectively. BBU maintains ninth place with 7-14 record. Loser Mustangs keep the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with Piraten. BBU will meet higher ranked Nord Dragonz (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mustangs will play against Raiders Tirol and hope to secure a win.
