Regular Season Round 19: Rhoendorf - Recklinghausen 112-93

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (15-6) crushed at home 5th ranked Recklinghausen (12-8) 112-93 on Saturday. Dragons Rhoendorf shot 66.1 percent from the field. Dragons Rhoendorf had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Dragons Rhoendorf looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Quite impressive performance for naturalized Brazilian power forward Gabriel De-Oliveira (206-97, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). American forward Dii'Jon Allen-Jordan (196, college: Campbellsville) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Dragons Rhoendorf's coach let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American guard Antoine Myers (191-90, college: Troy) answered with 29 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Jan Letailleur (197-87) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Recklinghausen. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Dragons Rhoendorf. They moved-up to second place in West, which they share with Herford. Loser Recklinghausen keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Dragons Rhoendorf will face Hagen BG (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Recklinghausen will play against Grevenbroich and hope to win that game.
