Second Stage Round 4: Telsiai - Delikatesas 96-89

NKL top team - Telsiai (28-4) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Delikatesas (16-16) in Telsiu 96-89. Telsiai players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Delikatesas' players. Worth to mention a quality performance of forward Gytis Sirutavicius (196-83) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and forward Ovidijus Kaminskis (195-91) who added 14 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five Telsiai players scored in double figures. Telsiai's coach Rytis Vaisvila allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Airidas Giedraitis (197-95) responded with 26 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots) and the former international Andrius Globys (198-95) scored 23 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Telsiai have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 28-4 record. Delikatesas at the other side keeps the fifth place with 16 games lost. Telsiai will play against Vytis (#6) in Sakiai in the next round where they are favorite. Delikatesas will play at home against Perlas and hopes to get back on the winning track.
