We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Bochum where 8th ranked SparkassenStars (10-9) were edged by ninth ranked Oldenburg (9-10) 76-73 on Saturday. Naturalized Bosnian point guard Robert Drijencic (194-96) fired 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Power forward Marcel Kessen (206-97) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Oldenburg's coach Artur Gacaev used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. British guard Conner Washington (183-92) produced 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Marius Behr (201-97) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Oldenburg maintains ninth place in North with 9-10 record. Loser SparkassenStars dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. Oldenburg will face higher ranked SC Rist Wedel (#7) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
