Regular Season Round 25: Kirchheim - Nuernberg 88-80

We should mention about the upset which took place in Kirchheim, where 4th placed Nuernberg (14-10) lost to ninth ranked Kirchheim Knights (12-12) in a road game 80-88. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Nuernberg. Kirchheim Knights made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jalan McCloud (180-95, college: ETSU) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds. Center Andreas Kronhardt (205-89) contributed with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Kirchheim Knights players scored in double figures. Kirchheim Knights' coach David Roesch allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Duane Wilson (190-94, college: Texas A&M) answered with 29 points and guard Sebastian Schroeder (192-88) added 20 points in the effort for Nuernberg. Kirchheim Knights moved-up to eighth place. Nuernberg at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. They share it with Heidelberg. Kirchheim Knights will play against higher ranked Science City Jena (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nuernberg will play against Schalke and hopes to get back on the winning track.
