Second Stage Round 4: Bandirma - Anadolu Efes 84-62

Round in U19 League means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Bandirma where host Banvit (7-7) crushed league's leader Anadolu Efes (12-2) 84-62 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Anadolu Efes. Banvit dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Anadolu Efes' 34. They outrebounded Anadolu Efes 47-33 including 21 on the offensive glass. Power forward Alperen Sengun (205-2) fired a double-double by scoring 30 points, 19 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Guard Onder Atun (192-1) chipped in 23 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four Banvit players scored in double figures. Forward Goktug Bas (201-1) produced 25 points and 9 rebounds and forward Eren Has (201-1) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Banvit moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Besiktas and TED Ankara. Anadolu Efes at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Tesvikiye who have the same record. Anadolu Efes will play next round against strong Tofas trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Banvit will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked TED Ankara at home.
