At the losing side American forward Dan Oppland (203-84, college: Valpo) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Croatian center Kresimir Nikic (213-99) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Itzehoe have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place in North with 14-5 record. Loser SSV Lok Bernau dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Itzehoe will meet Duesseldorf (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. SSV Lok Bernau will play against Titans (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
