Regular Season Round 19: Jena 2 - Muenchen OSB 80-60

There was no surprise when 14th ranked Muenchen OSB (3-15) was outleveled on the road by seventh ranked Jena 2 (10-9) 80-60 on Saturday. Jena 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Muenchen OSB's 32. Jena 2 had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for Lorenz Bank (187-1) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American Vincent Garrett (198-91, college: Green Bay) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Jena 2 players scored in double figures. Greek guard Apostolos Diamantis (180-90) answered with 17 points and 7 assists and Spanish forward Oscar Gonzalez (200-97) added 16 points in the effort for Muenchen OSB. Muenchen OSB's coach Dimitrios Linardou rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Jena 2 moved-up to fifth place in South-East. Muenchen OSB lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Jena 2 will face Rosenheim (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Muenchen OSB will play against Herzogenaurach and hope to win that game.
