The game between closely ranked teams ended with UBC St. Poelten's (12-9) home victory over Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (10-11) in St.Poelten 96-78 on Saturday. The game without a history. UBC St. Poelten led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Raiffeisen Flyers Wels' players. It was a good game for the former international forward Florian Trmal (199-89, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who led his team to a victory with 32 points and 4 assists. American guard Kelvin Lewis (195-88, college: Houston, agency: Mansfield and Associates) contributed with 20 points and 9 assists for the winners. American point guard Derek Jackson (185-91, college: Kent St.) answered with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import guard Cameron DeLaney (193-95, college: SHSU) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Raiffeisen Flyers Wels. Five UBC St. Poelten and four Raiffeisen Flyers Wels players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UBC St. Poelten will face Gunners Oberwart (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels will play against Dukes and hope to win that game.
