There was no surprise in Kyiv where 6th ranked Frankivsk (3-11) was defeated by second ranked Dynamo-NPU (7-5) 71-57. The game without a history. Dynamo-NPU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by American guard Ashley Morrissette (175-95, college: Purdue) who scored that evening 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Viktoriya Babych (183-99) supported her with 7 points and 17 rebounds. Even 18 points and 9 rebounds by power forward Daryna Dubrovska (190-99) did not help to save the game for Frankivsk. Forward Anna Gvichiani (168-99) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Defending champion maintains second position with 7-5 record having eleven points less than leader Kyiv Basket. Frankivsk at the other side stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. Dynamo-NPU's next round opponent will be Interkhim (#4) in Odessa. Frankivsk will play on the road against the league's leader Kyiv Basket and hope to win that game.
