Regular Season Round 19: Ibbenbueren - Wulfen 99-68

Date: February 8, 2020
There was no surprise when 10th ranked BSV Wulfen (9-12) was outleveled on the road by fourth ranked Ibbenbueren (14-7) 99-68 on Saturday. Ibbenbueren forced 20 BSV Wulfen turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Quite impressive performance for American guard Bryce Leavitt (194-94, college: Seattle Pacific) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 8 rebounds, 13 assists and 5 steals. American-Spanish guard Marco Porcher-Jimenez (193-92, college: FIU) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four Ibbenbueren players scored in double figures. American point guard Bryant Allen (183-90, college: Dakota St.) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and guard Hendrik Bellscheidt (193-90) added 16 points in the effort for BSV Wulfen. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ibbenbueren maintains fourth place in West with 14-7 record. Newly promoted BSV Wulfen keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost. Ibbenbueren will face league's second-placed Herford on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BSV Wulfen will play against the league's leader Koeln Rh.Stars (#1) and hope to win that game.
